Mentoring Program

Albertus Magnus High School, Bardonia, NY

  • Act as a peer mentor to facilitate the transition of incoming freshmen into Albertus Magnus High School students.

  • Help host functions, such as new student orientations, for student integration.

  • Engage in day-to-day interactions and scheduled meetings with freshman mentees throughout the year to ensure assimilation and provide insight on any uncertainties.

  • As the Lead Mentor during Senior Year, I help to oversee the entire mentor program, create mentor groups and communicate information in addition to creating and overseeing Freshmen Mentee meetings.

Ballet Dancer

  • I love ballet and have been dancing since I was four years old. Currently, I attend 3 classes per week, which include ballet and pointe.

  • Demonstrate grace, athleticism, and a professional attitude during long rehearsals and performances.  

  • Adapt quickly by mastering challenging choreography and routines. 

  • Over the years, I have developed professional relationships with dance professionals, choreographers, and performers by actively listening and effectively communicating.

Varsity Volleyball Captain

  • As a Senior Varsity volleyball player during my freshman and sophomore year, I initially played as an outside hitter; however, I transitioned to a middle hitter/blocker towards the end of my sophomore volleyball season.

  • As a Varsity volleyball player during my junior year, I have continued to play the position of a middle hitter/blocker. 

  • Playing this sport has taught me how to maintain a positive attitude and competitive spirit during training and competitive games.

Mock Trial Attorney

Albertus Magnus High School, Bardonia, NY

I participated in my high school's Mock Trial team as a defense attorney to represent one of multiple witnesses presented in cases given to us by the New York State Bar Association. During my role as an attorney, I have cross examined one of the opposing teams' witnesses, direct examined my own witness, performed both an opening and closing argument, and made as well as responded to objections to/from the other team. I have learned to:

  • Develop strong public speaking skills from delivering opening and closing arguments in addition to questioning witnesses.

  • Use critical thinking to argue objections to a judge and think quickly when encountering unanticipated adversary.

  • Work closely with team members to deliver requirements, develop solutions, and meet deadlines.

  • Handle all delegated tasks, including writing and memorizing materials (opening, cross, direct, closing) in addition to presenting key evidence and exhibits during each case.

VOLUNTEER
EXPERIENCE

I have completed over 100 hours of community service by providing technological assistance at my local library, performing public speaking during school events, helping prepare for school events, working at and donating to food pantries, assisting at community charitable marathon events, and engaging with and donating to elderly nuns.
